Murphy, Mary T.

Born in Boston, she was raised in Readville and attended St. Anne’s School in Readville and Nazareth High School in South Boston. During her sophomore year of high school she was the city of Boston spelling bee champ. After graduation she worked for the railroad, which allowed her to travel extensively along the East Coast. She lived in Brighton before moving to Canton in 1954.
She worked as a payroll clerk for the Mass. Hospital School in Canton for many years before retiring in 1995 …
