By Canton CitizenJohn G. Hommel, 67, of Weston and Hull died peacefully April 30, 2018, after a brief illness.
Cherished husband of 27 years to Valerie A. Hommel (Buczel). Loving son of the late William and Joan Hommel. Loving brother of Edward Hommel and his wife, Bella, of Nova Scotia, William Hommel Jr. and his wife, Virginia, of Medway, Nancy Donoghue and her husband, Daniel, of Weymouth, Marybeth Bradley and her husband, George, of Weymouth, and Rita Amico and her husband, Edward, of Canton. He was the loving uncle of 10 nieces and nephews and seven great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 5, at 10 a.m. in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to the Healing and Restoration Ministry, P.O. Box 320310, West Roxbury, MA 02132.
