Morrissey, Howard V.
By Canton CitizenHoward V. Morrissey, 89, of Canton, went to his eternal reward May 9.
Born in Newburgh, NY, he was raised in Otisville, NY, and graduated from Immaculata in Manhattan and St. Michael’s College in Vermont and was an Army veteran of World War II and a recipient of the World War II Victory Medal. He worked as an insurance agent and financial planner for the Knights of Columbus Council #2095 in Canton for many years and previously worked as a salesman for Motorola. Howie loved golf and listening to music. He had lived in Canton for over 40 years before moving to Pine Hills in Plymouth for five years and moved back to Canton in 2012.
Beloved husband of the late Jeanette W. (Walsh). Father of Jennifer Wadland and her husband, Robert, of Braintree and the late Susan Morrissey Franz. Grandfather of Hailey and Matthew Wadland and Shelby Franz. Brother-in-law of Lorraine Walsh of South Boston, Kathleen Walsh of Braintree, and Thomas Walsh of Harwich. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
