Sullo, Lisa J.

Lisa J. Sullo, 63, a resident of Brighton, passed away peacefully at home on September 29 after a short battle with cancer.

Lisa graduated from Canton High School in 1972. She was a proud and loving mom to her son Torie Leigh of Brighton, with whom she shared her passion for music and art. She was the daughter of Mary Sullo and the late Santo (Sonny) Sullo of Canton. She also leaves behind her brother Steven Sullo and his wife, Chrissie, of Acushnet and brother Paul Sullo and his wife, Debbie, of Canton, along with four nephews, a niece, her “sister” cousins, and many family and friends.

A graduate of Syracuse University, Lisa was an incredibly talented artist with a diverse graphic design background. She was an assistant art director for Boston Magazine and spent many years working at the Boston Globe as a marketing design manager. Lisa left the Globe to venture out on her own, using her creativity to design a line of greeting cards, while continuing to consult and work as a creative director/designer. Self-employed for many years, Lisa recently landed her dream job with Ab Initio in Lexington to continue her passion in graphic design.

Lisa was a kind and kindred spirit with an infectious smile. She had a great sense of humor, loved vintage clothing, yard sales, and the Rolling Stones. One of Lisa’s favorite places was the beach where she spent many summer days on Cape Cod/Wellfleet and Provincetown with her son. She will be fondly remembered as a caring and devoted mother, daughter, sister, and great friend to many. She had a huge heart and will forever be missed by all who loved her.
