Longtime resident impressed with Canton EMS care

Dear Editor:

I am a retired anesthesiologist/critical care physician and 42-year Canton resident who found himself needing emergency care for a life-threatening cardiac arrhythmia. The 911 response was almost immediate. The first responders were well-trained, technically skilled, and knowledgeable in the treatment of my condition and also supportive emotionally. They started an intravenous infusion in my family room, gave me the appropriate medication, and transported me to the hospital in such good condition that the ER staff had little to do. I want to express my appreciation to them and to also let the citizens of Canton know that they can count on the talents of these wonderful professionals should they ever be in need of urgent medical care.
