Canale, Carolyn A.

Carolyn A. Canale (Linehan), 83, of Canton, formerly of Norwood, passed away January 27 at Brightview in Canton surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Roslindale, she graduated from Girls Latin High School and went on to earn a BA in home economics from Framingham State. She was a self-employed seamstress for many years before retiring. She previously lived in Canton for over 20 years and moved to Norwood in 1989 before recently moving back to Canton. She was a former parishioner at St. Timothy’s Church in Norwood and a member of the Norwood Council on Aging and the St. Gerard Majella Prayer Group in Canton.

Beloved wife of the late Jack Canale. Mother of Michael Canale and his wife, Allison, of Rutland, Brian Canale and his wife, Theresa, of Marlboro, Nancy Patterson of Canton, and Sarah Titus and her husband, Gary, of Canton. Stepmother of Rose Bernard of NH, Steven Small of FL, and William Small of Lakeville. Sister of Daniel Linehan of Canton, Elaine Clarke of Salem, and the late Timothy and William Linehan. She is survived by her former husband, Robert Small, of Lakeville. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass was held Wednesday in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Burial St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
