Tierney, Marguerite C.

Marguerite C. Tierney (Shea), 90, of Canton, passed away April 3 at Milton Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Dorchester, she graduated from Jeremiah Burke High School, Class of 1945. She worked as a secretary for the Boston College School of Education for 25 years before retiring. She has lived in Canton for the last 18 years and previously lived in Roslindale and Hyde Park. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and going to the beach.

Beloved wife of 39 years to Francis P. (Retired BFD). Mother of Kathleen M. Donahoe and her husband, Bernard, of Canton, Francis M. Tierney and his wife, Deborah, of Attleboro, Elaine M. Tradd and her husband, Stephen, of Foxboro, Michael E. Tierney (BFD) and his wife, Ellen, of Scituate, and her late baby angel Joseph Tierney. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass was held Monday in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Burial St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
