Eames, Edna A.
By Canton CitizenEdna A. Eames (Rackham) of Canton passed away May 11 at the Blue Hill Alzheimer’s Care Center.
Born and raised in London, England, she came to the United States at the age of 19. She has lived in Brockton for the last 14 years and previously lived in Canton for over 55 years. She worked for the Canton Co-operative Bank for many years as a bookkeeper and teller before retiring. Edna enjoyed playing Bridge, knitting, quilting, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Beloved wife of the late Ralph D. Mother of David G. Eames of KY, Sandra E. Eames of Stoughton, Kenneth E. Eames and his wife, Jacqueline, of Brockton, and the late Jonathan A. Eames. Mother-in-law of Ellen Eames of Foxboro. Sister of Shirley McCarthy of Plymouth, Geoffrey Rackham and Margaret Forman, both of England, and the late Arthur Rackham. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral service at the Congregational Church of Canton on Saturday, May 18, at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours omitted. Burial private.
