Hanson, Betty E.
By Canton CitizenBetty Eileen Hanson (Stoddard), 93, of Taunton, formerly of Canton, passed away September 8.
Born in Natick, she was raised in Canton and graduated from Canton High School, Class of 1944, and Burdette Business School. She worked as a data entry clerk for General Motors in Westwood for 50 years before retiring. She was a member of the Ponkapoag Chapel Women’s Club in Canton and previously a member of the Parkway Methodist Church in Milton. Betty loved going to Nantasket Beach and spending time with her grandchildren.
Beloved companion of Roy A. King. Mother of Cheryl Callahan of Stoughton, Kathleen Clark of Stratford, CT, and the late Patricia Boulais. Sister of Shirley MacKeen and the late Dorothy Jones, Gloria Rooney and Wallace Stoddard, Jr. Also survived by six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
