Police arrest 3rd suspect in July home invasion case
By Mike BergerLaw enforcement officials now have three suspects in custody in connection to a home invasion-armed robbery case that occurred at a Bay Drive apartment on Saturday, July 20.
In early August, police identified Jason Candelario, 30, of Manchester, New Hampshire, as the third suspect. Police announced this week that Candelario is now in custody. He was apprehended without incident by the Mass. State Police Fugitive Unit and Canton and Lowell police on September 13 in Lowell.
All three suspects were indicted by a grand jury and appeared in Norfolk Superior Court on September 23. The other two suspects are Nasahn Davis, 27, of Boston and Christen Cherry, 35, of Waltham. All three are facing charges of home invasion, armed robbery, assault to commit a felony, destruction of property over $1,200, larceny over $1,200, kidnapping and conspiracy.
Canton Police Det. Sgt. Paul Gallagher said the three suspects allegedly broke into an apartment on Bay Drive (off Canton Street) and tied up and gagged the lone occupant in the residence. Gallagher said the suspects then proceeded to steal an undisclosed amount of cash, jewelry and electronics.
Investigators were able to develop leads that resulted in the arrests.
