Andrews, Lillian P.
By Canton CitizenLillian P. Andrews (Ward), 93, of Canton, passed away October 18 at Seasons Hospice in Milton.
Born and raised in Boston, she graduated from Mission High School, Class of 1944, and Mt. Auburn Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse and chief hospital supervisor at the Mass. Hospital School in Canton for 31 years before retiring in 1992. Lillian was an active member of St. Gerard Majella Church, where she served as an usher for many years. She was a member of the Catholic Nurses Guild of St. Jude and the Mass Nurses Association and was an avid Bingo player.
Beloved wife of the late Robert V. Mother of Robert F. Andrews of Tallahassee, FL, William E. Andrews of Weymouth, Thomas J. Andrews and his wife, Christine, of Boston, Scott P. Andrews of Boston, and Linda J. Carotenuto and her husband, Michael, of New Marlborough. Sister of Nancy Cormier of Hyannis and the late Josephine Ciccolo and Thomas Ward. Grandmother of Dylan Andrews and Max and Samantha Corbin of Tallahassee, FL, Christian Andrews of Danvers, Casey and Jaclyn Andrews of Boston, and Renae, Theresa and Robert Carotenuto of New Marlborough. Great-grandmother of Brynn Corbin and Grayson Britt. Dear friend of Brian Davis of Boston and Julie Andrews of Danvers.
A funeral mass was held Thursday in St. Gerard Majella Church. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to the Canton Veterans Fund, 801 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021.
