Davis, Mary E.
By Canton CitizenMary E. Davis, 88, of Dorchester, passed away October 26 at the Life Care Center of the South Shore in Scituate.
Born and raised in Dorchester, she graduated from Jeremiah E. Burke High School. She worked for New England Telephone and Verizon for many years as a manager before retiring in 1996. She was a member of the New England Telephone Pioneers and was an avid Bingo player.
Beloved sister of the late James J. and William F. Davis. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass was held Thursday in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Burial Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline. Donations may be made in her memory to www.foodforthepoor.org.
