Lois K. MacDonald, 63, of Mansfield, formerly of Hyde Park, passed away January 28.

Born in Boston, she was raised in Hyde Park and attended Hyde Park High and Northeastern University. She was a Dedham police officer for 13 years before retiring in 2001 and had previously worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Alan Morris in Norwood. Lois enjoyed ballroom dancing and competed in and won many disco dancing competitions. She also performed on Disco Dazzler and Stage Door Disco.

Beloved mother of Heather C. MacDonald of Mansfield. Daughter of the late Ruth I. (Carpenter) and Robert B. MacDonald. Sister of Joyce L. McGibbon and her husband, David Myers, of S. Hadley, Carol L. MacDonald of Mansfield, and Robert B. MacDonald and his wife, Ann, of Canton. Also survived by one niece, five nephews, and her four-legged friends Keegan and Sheldon.

A funeral service was held Monday at the Congregational Church of Mansfield. Burial private. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
