Fitzgerald, James F.
By Canton CitizenJames F. Fitzgerald, Esquire, of Canton, passed away February 18 surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in East Cambridge, he graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Cambridge. He was a 1960 graduate of Boston College and a 1963 graduate of Boston University Law School where he was a member of the Boston University Law Review. He was a partner with Parker, Coulter, Daley and White in Boston for many years before going into private practice for himself in Stoughton.
He has lived in Canton since 1967, where he was a member of the Canton Zoning Board of Appeals for 32 years before retiring in 2009 as well as a member of the Canton Conservation Commission. His most treasured days were spent being the best grandfather with his five grandchildren whom he adored. He was a tremendous father, grandfather and husband.
Beloved husband of the late Carole A. (Sherlock). Father of Karen Healy and her husband, Patrick, of Canton and Arlene Marano and her husband, Chris, of Canton. Loving grandfather of Christopher and Caroline Marano and Sydnie, Conor and Braedon Healy. Brother of Paul Fitzgerald and his wife, Mary, of Canton and John “Pat” Fitzgerald of Cambridge.
A funeral mass was held Saturday in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery.
