Ciccotelli, John L.
By Canton CitizenJohn L. Ciccotelli, 63, of Westport, died April 9, 2020 after a lifetime of illness.
John is the son of the late Ernest S. Ciccotelli and Marie (Hannon). He was originally from Canton and made his final home in Westport with his loving wife, Zaleha (Adnan) of Singapore.
He held his roots in Canton as the director of public health, was a Past Master of the Blue Hill Lodge of Freemasons and a member of the Sons of Italy. He was an amazing man who touched many lives. His hobbies were travelling and collecting artifacts. He loved his wife, family, friends and his job.
In addition to his wife, Zaleha, John leaves behind his mother, Marie Ciccotelli; his son Nathaniel and four grandchildren; his stepdaughter Diana and her husband, Shahrun, and stepson Matt, his wife, Nora, and three grandchildren, all from Singapore; his brother Ernie of Vermont, brother Paul and his wife, Patricia, of Wareham, and his sister Tish of Rochester; nephews Ethan and Dylan; and longtime friend Chris Engel.
Due to the ongoing health crisis and restrictions of large gatherings, there could not be an open burial. His Janaza Prayer and Burial took place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton on April 10, 2020 with immediate family present. A Celebration of Life and Achievements will be held at a later date.
