Geraghty, Peter M.

Peter M. Geraghty, 53, of Norwood, passed away peacefully on June 16.

Born in Boston, he was raised in Canton and attended the Canton Public Schools. He enjoyed spending time with his family in Falmouth taking frequent walks along the beach and swimming in the ocean. He spent a lot of time in Cambridge to visit friends, attend meetings and spiritual ceremonies. He was employed by the Salvation Army during their annual fundraising season, and most recently worked as a caretaker at the Blue Hills Reservation.

Peter is survived by his parents, Peter and Mary Geraghty of Canton, and sisters Mary Collins and husband, Dennis, of Canton, Linda Joyce and husband, Patrick, of Braintree, and Debra Geraghty and husband, Quintan, of VA. He adored his nieces and nephews, Liam and Sarah Collins, Aidan and Nora Wiktorowicz, and Maeve and Fiona Joyce. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

A celebration of Peter’s life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in his memory to Neponset River House, 595 Pleasant St., Norwood MA 02062, c/o Danielle Ford-Allen.
