CPD posts update on missing resident

Update: At 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, the Canton Police Department posted the following on its Twitter page: “The missing individual has been found. We ask that you please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers and respect their privacy. Thank you to all of the civilian and law enforcement personnel who assisted with the search.”

The Canton police are continuing to investigate the whereabouts of Ryan Lahiff, a 19-year-old Canton resident who has been missing since Wednesday.

He was last wearing in the area around Dedham and Chapman streets and was wearing red sweatpants, a grey shirt, black sneakers and a black backpack.

Friends of Lahiff’s organized a search party on Friday afternoon in an effort to locate him. On Saturday, police announced that they were continuing their land search and asked those who live between Sherman and Pleasant streets, particularly on Washington Street, to check any outbuildings or sheds on their property.
