Fineberg, Marcia

By

Marcia Beverly Livingstone Fineberg, 94, a longtime resident of Canton, passed away on July 21, 2020.

She was born and raised in Somerville and graduated from Framingham State Teachers College in 1949. She enjoyed teaching kindergarten and first grade before she married. Throughout her life she was the ultimate teacher with an exceptionally strong quest for knowledge. She moved to Canton in 1960 with her late husband, Bernard Fineberg, where they were both very involved with Temple Beth Abraham.

In later years, she lived in long-term care facilities in New Jersey, close to family, where she was a true ray of sunshine for residents and staff. She was intently interested in the people around her and it was obvious she cared about anyone who was even remotely a part of her life.

She was dedicated to family and is survived by her three daughters, Sharon (William) Mullin, Laura Lobl, and Marlena Fineberg; and three grandchildren, Joshua Mullin, Marissa Lobl and Aria Lobl. She is also survived by her sister Norma (Sig) Silber, sister-in-law Sheila Livingstone, nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will all treasure the impact she made on their lives. She was kind, generous, and a thoughtful people-person who will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Donations in her memory can be made to B’nai Tikvah (formerly known as Temple Beth Abraham), 1301 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021.
