The start of tax season was delayed until February 12, but the deadline has not changed; it’s still April 15. By the way, if you received the full amount for both the first and second round of stimulus payments, you don’t have to claim that as income or put any information about the payments on your 2020 tax return.
According to their website, the IRS is still wading through 2019 tax returns, particularly those filed on paper. According to the New York Times, as of December 25, there were still nearly 7 million unprocessed individual returns from tax year 2019.

And a final note, MAC was thrilled to have the winning guess in a Super Bowl contest held recently at Rosetta‘s Italian Family Restaurant in Canton. In the contest, owner Carlo Gaita offered a $50 gift card to whoever could come the closest (without going over) to guessing how many passing yards Tom Brady would have for the game. Out of over 400 entries, not only did MAC come the closest, but he guessed the exact number of 201 yards. MAC spent some of his winnings on an appetizer of eggplant that was delicious, as well as the chicken marsala entrée, which was also outstanding. Rosetta’s advertises authentic Italian food with moderate pricing, and MAC highly recommends that you try it. You will not be disappointed. To place your order to go, call 781-821-2300.
