By Canton CitizenOn Sunday, April 4, 2021, Paul DiRosario, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at age 68 after a long battle with cancer.
Paul had a lifelong passion for automotive, beginning his career as a mechanic in Canton before drafting into the military in 1972. While in the Army he trained and served for two years active as a radar specialist and continued to serve for a further 16 years in the Army Reserve out of the 187th Inf Bn, 94th Reserve Command (ARCOM) as a staff sergeant. The technical experience gained in the Army paved the way for a long and successful career as an x-ray technician and field service engineer for Philips Medical Systems, retiring after over 40 years of service.
Paul involved himself in his children’s activities, taking active coaching and leadership roles in Little League, Boy Scouting and a Fire & Rescue Explorer Post where his automotive skill was instrumental in restoring a 1954 Ward LaFrance Fire Engine, which was used by the Post for parades, training and competition.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, William, his mother, Dorothy, and his brother, Roger. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Coleman), his children, Paul, Kristie, Michael DiRosario, and Joseph Coleman, and his sisters Laurene Dynan, Lisa DiRosario, and Susan Mulcahy.
