Celebrating Citizenship

Naomi Akan, an ABA tutor at the Hansen Elementary School and a parent of a CHS student, was honored last Friday by state Senator Walter Timilty and State Rep. Bill Galvin for attaining her U.S. citizenship, fulfilling a personal goal. Akan was presented with official citations from the Senate and House in an outdoor ceremony attended by school leaders and students from Patty Willis’s class. Akan works closely with several students in that classroom and she asked that they be present at the ceremony.
