Bonanno, Margaret
By Canton CitizenMargaret Bonanno of Canton passed in her home on Wednesday morning, June 16, after a brief illness. She just celebrated her 83rd birthday.
Margaret was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Louis and Margaret (Iorio) DeYesso. She was raised and educated in West Roxbury. Mrs. Bonanno had been a Canton resident for the past 40 years, moving there from Wilmington where she lived and raised her children for 20 years.
Mrs. Bonanno had co-operated Milano Skin Care in Canton and Stoughton with her daughter for over 20 years.
Her family will remember her as a natural caretaker whose family was paramount. She was a devoted wife and mother to her family. She had a passion for flowers and gardening and was an unparalleled cook. In addition to tending to her family and friends, she also cared for all of God’s creatures, rescuing stray cats and animals and feeding the wild ones. She was also a voracious reader.
Mrs. Bonanno was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Ambrose H. Bonanno, in 2020.
She is survived by her children, Andrew Bonanno and his wife, Sharon, Anthony Bonanno and his wife, Susan, and Annmarie Bonanno, all of Canton, and Louix DorDempriey of Laguna Hills, CA. Also survived by her brothers Louis, Michael and Joseph DeYesso and her sister Jean DeYesso. She was sister to the late Mary McCarthy and Daniel and Pasquale DeYesso. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
A memorial mass of Christian burial was celebrated at Saint Gerard Majella Church in Canton on Saturday, June 19. Interment at Canton Corner Cemetery.
