PMC Kids Ride returns to Irish Cultural Centre
By Canton CitizenLocal kids ages 2-15 are invited to ride in the fifth annual Canton PMC Kids Ride on Sunday, September 19, at the Irish Cultural Centre of New England.
While organizers are excited to be back at the ICC this year for an in-person ride, a Reimagined Ride option is available for those who prefer to ride on their own. The event has also been expanded to include Canton’s tri-town neighbors.
The in-person ride will feature two closed courses — a short loop designed for children 5 and under and those on tricycles, balance bikes and big wheels, and a long loop (one mile) designed for riders without training wheels.
All riders will receive a t-shirt and goodie bag, and there will be a staggered start and social distancing measures in place. Helmet and bike safety checks will also be conducted.
Pick up your shirts, decorate your bike, make and display a banner, tell us who you’re riding for, help sing our national anthem, buckle up and ride as you listen to the music, pit stop for a drink or snack, shop the event’s sponsors and raffles, and pick up your official 2021 PMC Rider certificate of achievement and/or special award for Heavy Hitters and Breakaway Fundraisers.
Together, Canton PMC Kids riders have helped raise over $36,000 for treatment and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Registration for this year’s ride is $20 per person with a $40 fundraising minimum, and all proceeds go directly to Dana-Farber.
