By Canton CitizenMaureen Duggan Petroni, 71, of Canton, West Harwich, and Longboat Key, FL, passed away July 17 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Boston, she was raised in Braintree and graduated from Archbishop Williams High School, Massasoit Community College, and Katharine Gibbs School. Maureen was a devoted wife and mother and has lived in Canton since 1979.
Daughter of the late Edward M. and Eileen M. Duggan of Braintree. Beloved wife of Vincent F. Petroni. Mother of Brian D. Petroni and his wife, Concetta, of Wayland, Karin P. Monfredo and her husband, Leonard, of Hingham, Maryanne D. Royce and her husband, Brandon, of Wrentham, and Emily D. Petroni of Boston. Grandmother of Gianni, Mateo, Nico, and the late Leo Petroni; Rocco, Nicholas, and Angelo Monfredo; and Caroline and Dominic Royce. Sister of Joanne Gooding and her husband, David, of Braintree, Edward M. Duggan, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen, of Easton, Suzanne Duggan of Braintree, and the late William E. Duggan and Patricia Kincaid. Also survived by her four-legged grand dog Frankie.
Funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton Thursday (today) at 11 a.m. Burial private.
