Thoener, Elizabeth A.

Elizabeth A. Thoener (Carey), 82, of Canton, passed away September 14.

Born in Boston, she was raised in Dorchester and attended St. Gregory’s School and Fisher Junior College. She worked as an executive assistant for Bruce Levine CPA for over 30 years. She was also a volunteer for My Brother’s Keeper and a founding member of CAPT in Canton.

Beloved wife of John C. Mother of Stephen Thoener and his wife, Kim, of North Attleboro, Marc Thoener and his wife, Deborah, of North Attleboro, Noelle Lipowicz and her husband, Rafal, of Canton, and the late Christopher Thoener. Sister of Joanne Devlin of Canton. Grandmother of BryAnna, Cormac, Tyler, and Jennifer Thoener, and Patrick and Ella Lipowicz.

A funeral Mass was held Monday in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Burial St. Mary’s Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s disease at www.michaeljfox.org. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
