Gilmore, Mary M.

Mary M. Gilmore (Powers) of Canton, formerly of Franklin and Hyde Park, passed away October 25.

Born in Montague City, she was raised in Deerfield and graduated from Deerfield High School. She was a devoted wife and mother and worked for New England Telephone as an operator before marriage. She has lived in Canton since 2018 and previously lived in Franklin for 24 years and Hyde Park for 25 years.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph M. Mother of Joseph Gilmore and his late wife, Kristen, of Franklin, Charles Gilmore and his wife, Frances, of Middleboro, John Gilmore and his wife, Debra, of Franklin, Robert Gilmore of Delray Beach, FL, Elaine Gilmore of Delray Beach, FL, and James Gilmore and his wife, Colleen, of Canton. Sister of Helen Jenkins of Greenfield and late James, Mark, and Charles Powers. Also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held Thursday (today) at 10 a.m. in St. Oscar Romero Church (formerly St. John the Evangelist) in Canton. Burial St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street. For guestbook, see dockrayandthomasfuneralhome.com.
