Columbare, Gloria L.

Gloria L. Columbare (Picozzi), 98, of Canton, passed away November 11.

Born and raised in Roslindale, she graduated from Roslindale High School and attended Boston University. She worked as a secretary for Beneficial Finance Company for over 30 years before retiring. She was an avid reader and has lived in Canton since 1980 where she enjoyed going to the Canton Senior Center.

Beloved wife of the late Cadorna W. “Don” Columbare. Mother of Elaine L. Reed and her husband, Michael, of Easton, Stephen J. Columbare and his wife, Dawn, of Lakewood, NY, Donald A. Columbare and his wife, Elisabeth, of Mansfield, and Laura M. Casey and her husband, William, of Taunton. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass at St. Oscar Romero Church, Canton (formerly St. John the Evangelist Church) Saturday at 11 a.m. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, Saturday prior to the mass from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Canton Veterans Services Department, 801 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021.
