The CHS girls ice hockey program honored the members of the 2020 state championship squad — the first in Canton girls hockey history — during a pre-game ceremony last Thursday, December 30. The lady Bulldogs went unbeaten that year in 23 games, including a 3-0 mark in the playoffs, before their season was cut short on the eve of the state title game due to COVID concerns. “Along with being champions, they were also voted as the Hockomock League Sportsmanship Award winners,” noted head coach Dennis Aldrich. “So they not only won, but did things the right way. I’m so proud to have been able to call myself their coach!”
