McNeil, Leo F.
By Canton CitizenLeo F. McNeil Jr. of Franklin passed away peacefully at home on March 21 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Boston, he was raised in Canton and graduated from Canton High School, Massasoit, and Lesley University. Leo was passionate about his work with Trane where he worked as the regional sales director for 17 years. He lived in Franklin for 38 years where he was a member of the Franklin Country Club and an active parishioner at St. Mary’s Church. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.
Leo was the beloved husband of Virginia M. (McGuire) for 40 years. Devoted father of Meghan Berall and her husband, Jeffrey, of Milton, Elizabeth Brewer and her husband, David, of Mansfield, and Leo F. McNeil III and his wife, Christine, of Marshfield. Loving Papa of Levi and Quinn Berall, Mabel, Norah, and Paige Brewer, and Leo F. McNeil IV. Treasured brother of Maureen D’Attanasio, Dorothy Kelleher, Paula McCarthy, and Terri Ivanoski, all of Canton, Kathy McCarthy of Mattapoisett, and the late Nancy White and Jeanne McNeil.
Visiting hours will be at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, Sunday from 4-7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass in St. Oscar Romero Parish in Canton Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton.
