Farewell message from DEHS outreach worker
By GuestThe note below is from our beloved outreach worker, Robin Tobin, who is stepping down after 11 years and will be missed dearly.
Dear Friends of the Canton Senior Center,
I write this note with happy tears as farewells are bittersweet chapters in our lives. I have made the decision to resign from my role as outreach worker at the Canton Senior Center. Please understand my decision was not an easy one; raising my young family and meeting the demands of our world has been an immensely challenging time for us. I have spent the last 10, almost 11 years becoming acquainted with you all and have enjoyed working with you during my time here. Each and every person has deeply touched my heart and I am beyond grateful for all of your love, hugs and support throughout the years — especially through my wedding and two pregnancies!
I am forever thankful to Diane Tynan as she is my mentor, colleague, and friend. We have spent the last decade working closely together and have created an indescribable sisterhood as well as memories to last forever!
I will greatly miss the wonderful crew here at the Senior Center. Simply put, you are my second family! Together we have had some fun and challenging times, but we were always able to get through the day with each other’s laughs, love, and support. I am also very thankful to the Canton Council on Aging Board, town officials and town departments, and the community as a whole for my memorable time in Canton. The Canton Senior Center will always be my home away from home!
I will end by sharing one of my favorite quotes: “Don’t cry because it is over; smile because it happened!”
Sincerely and God Bless,
Robin Lynn Tobin
