McLaughlin, Florence D.

Florence D. McLaughlin (Dingwell) of Canton passed away April 14 at the Ruth McLain Hospice House in Braintree.

Born in Boston, she was raised in Dorchester and graduated from Hyde Park High School. She was an active member of the Congregational Church of Canton where she ran the Knitting Table at the church fair for many years. Florence enjoyed walking, reading, knitting, and going to Nantasket Beach.

Beloved wife of the late Frank W. Mother of Stephen McLaughlin and his wife, Maureen, of Westwood, John McLaughlin and his wife, Lynne, of Foxboro, and Karen McLaughlin of Canton. Grandmother of Brendan, Catherine, James, Nicholas, Callie, and Rachel McLaughlin. Great-grandmother of Ben and Emmy McLaughlin. Also survived by her twin sister Dorothy White of Rockland and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Ruth McLain Hospice House, 670 Washington St., Braintree, MA 02184. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
