Duganiero, Mary L.
By Canton CitizenMary L. Duganiero of Canton passed away June 27. Born and raised in Canton, she graduated from St. John’s Commercial High School in Canton and was a lifelong resident of Canton.
Mary worked in the wool trade in Boston as an office manager for 20 years and later worked as the deputy tax collector for the town of Canton for 20 years before retiring. She was an active parishioner of St. Oscar Romero Parish (formerly St. John the Evangelist Church) for many years where she was a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Altar Guild. She was also a founding member of the Catherine of Siena Lodge of Canton and an avid Red Sox fan.
Beloved sister of Antoinette Papagno and her late husband, Sebastian, of Canton, Ann Citrano and her husband, Robert, of Canton, and the late Dominic Duganiero and his late wife, Ursula. Aunt of Michael Papagno and his wife, Catherine, of Mansfield, Nancy Crimmin and her husband, William, of Worcester, Robert Citrano Jr. and his partner, Cara Harris, of Easton, Alicia Citrano of Bellingham, Maria Connors and her husband, Joseph, of Mansfield, and Joanne Duganiero of Uxbridge. Also survived by several grandnieces and nephews.
Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, Thursday (today) from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Mass in St. Oscar Romero Parish in Canton Friday at 10:30 a.m. Burial St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton. Donations may be made in Mary’s memory to St. John’s School, 696 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021.
