Price, Charles P.

Charles P. Price of Canton passed away July 8 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Boston, he was raised in Dorchester and attended BC High and graduated from Dorchester High School. He worked for Boston Gas in customer service for over 42 years before retiring. Charlie enjoyed going to the Villages in Florida during the winters and going to the American Legion in Canton on Saturday nights. He was a proud grandfather and loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. He also was active at Florian Hall in Dorchester where he socialized with his friends.

Beloved husband of Mary M. (Kennealy). Father of Christine Lavoie and her husband, Jeff, of Canton and Patricia A. Price of Canton. Grandfather of Matthew, Michael, Christopher and Katie Lavoie. Brother of Daniel F. Price of Stoughton. Brother-in-law of Nancy Flanagan and her husband, Joe, of Canton.

A funeral Mass was held Tuesday in St. Oscar Romero Parish in Canton. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to the Canton Food Pantry, 900 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
