Stables, John M.
By Canton CitizenJohn M. Stables Jr., of Canton, passed away September 23 at the VA Hospital in West Roxbury. Born in Oakland, CA, he was raised in Alaska and graduated from Juneau Douglas High School in Juneau. After graduating he went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps as a staff sergeant.
John worked as a truck driver for the Melton Corp. in Oklahoma for many years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, traveling and hosting cookouts.
Beloved husband of Laurie E. Stables (Melchin). Father of Maria Lindholm and her husband, Heath, of Woonsocket, RI, and Jennifer Cornelius and her husband, Brian, of FL. Grandfather of Bruce Lindholm. Brother of David, Rick, and Larry Stables.
