Wenstrom, Kenneth P.
By Canton CitizenKenneth P. Wenstrom, 55, of Canton, formerly of Norwood, passed away November 7 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born and raised in Norwood, he graduated from Norwood High School and Wentworth Institute of Technology where he played on the baseball team. He worked for many years as a sales manager for Clean Harbors in Norwell.
A devoted and proud father, Ken was a coach and board member for Canton Pop Warner Football, a t-ball coach, and a Canton Little League baseball coach. For many years he enjoyed spending his summers at their home on Rexhame Beach in Marshfield.
Beloved husband of Deborah A. (O’Donnnell). Father of Julia, Justin and Nicholas, all of Canton. Devoted son of William “Bill” and Eleanor “Ellie” Wenstrom of Norwood. Brother of Billy Wenstrom of Huntsville, AL, Jim Wenstrom of Norwood, Linda DeShiro of North Attleboro, and Kris Wenstrom of Norfolk. Son-in-law of James and Carol O’Donnell of Norwood. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, on Monday, November 14, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass in St. Oscar Romero Church in Canton Tuesday, November 15, at 11 a.m. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ken’s memory to Xaverian Brothers High School, Athletics Department, 800 Clapboardtree St., Westwood, MA 02090.
