Sisson, Robert D.
By Canton CitizenRobert Daniel Sisson, 91, of Canton, died on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, after a sudden illness.
He is predeceased by his loving and dedicated wife of 60 years, Patricia Duffey Sisson. He is the son of the late Jack and Theresa Sisson and he is survived by his son, Robert, and daughter-in-law, Karen Sisson; daughter, Linda, and son-in-law, Raymond Hall; grandchildren Robert, Marc and Justin Sisson and Matthew and Patrice Hall; and great-grandchildren Avryn and Callie Sisson. He is also survived by two sisters, Marlee Poirier and Patricia Kane, and a brother, Howie Sisson. He was predeceased by his sister Yvonne and his brother Jack.
Robert was a Marine sergeant in the Korean War. He began his professional career at Boston Edison as a lineman and after earning his degree at Northeastern, he became a part of the management team. Our papa was a true Renaissance man with many interests, hobbies and areas of expertise; he was an artist, musician, bicyclist, gardener, photographer, avid reader, technology expert, electrician, and do-it-yourself hobbyist. If you needed something, he had it. As a matter of fact, he probably had two.
He was the kindest man and we are all so proud of him. He was truly an example to the world as to how to live a meaningful, pure and compassionate life.
