John was born to Benjamin and Mary (Rothwell) Wattles in June of 1957 in Boston. He studied at East Coast Aero Tech in Bedford with the goal of becoming an airline mechanic. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and flying remote control airplanes with his family.
John is predeceased by his father, Benjamin Wattles.
He is survived by his mother, Mary (Rothwell) Wattles of Yarmouth. He also leaves behind his siblings, Benjamin Wattles, Jr. of East Walpole, Gary Wattles of Centerville, Peter Wattles and his wife, Karen Moulin, DVM, of Walpole, and Sally Dwyer Wattles and her husband, Robert, of Boston.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, located at 154 MA-Route 6A in Sandwich, followed by a burial at Canton Corner Cemetery.
