Audrey L. Quigley (Lawrence), 89, of Canton, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Saturday, May 13, 2023. She was the wife of the late Thomas G. Quigley, Sr.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lawrence, Sr. and Jennie (Newcomb) Doane.

Audrey was a neonatal intensive care nurse for many years at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston and at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton. She always had a soft spot in her heart for babies. Prior to retirement, she worked as a nurse in the clinic at Western and Electric in Watertown and AT&T in Boston.

Active in many community organizations, she was a member of the Community Club of Canton, also serving as a past president, Canton Women’s Club, Canton Council on Aging, Pioneers, and was a member in a small but intimate writing group. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, relative, and friend.

Audrey enjoyed gardening, traveling, birdwatching, and spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by her three sons, Thomas Quigley, Jr., Kenneth Quigley and his wife, Christine, and Neil Quigley and his wife, Valerie; three daughters, Lorraine “Lori” Mulry and her husband, Mike, Holly Medwid and her husband, Rich, and Jennifer Quigley; siblings, the late Robert C. “Bobby” Lawrence, Jr., the late Bruce Lawrence, Richard Lawrence and Glenn Lawrence; 11 grandchildren, Lauren, Andrew, Thomas “Tommy,” George, Kathleen “Katie,” Kristin, Michael “Mike,” Nicholas, Christopher, Derek, Allison, and Scott; nine great-grandchildren, Lillian, Orion, Dahlia, Thomas Jayden “TJ,” Brianna, Joey, Payton, Paisley, and Parker; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 18 (today) at 11 a.m. at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street. Visiting hours will be held prior to her service from 9-11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue in Bourne.
