Tutunjian, Marion K.
By Canton CitizenMarion K. Tutunjian (Kazanjian), 99, of Canton and West Harwich, passed away peacefully at home on May 28 in the company of her loving family.
Born in Chicago to Herand and Siran Kazanjian, Marion was raised in the Woodside community of Queens, New York. Upon graduating from the Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School, she worked on Wall Street. Marion moved to Dorchester to marry, and resided in Canton for the last 66 years.
Marion resumed her career after her daughter started school and held sales administration positions with Mainco School Supply and the J.L. Hammett Company. An avid traveler, she enjoyed trips with family and friends throughout New England, California, the Caribbean, and Europe. Marion’s passions included entertaining, good food and drink, Pleasant Road Beach, and rooting for her Boston sports teams.
Marion was predeceased by her husband, George W. Tutunjian, and sister Lucy Tutunjian. Devoted mother of Patricia Tutunjian of Canton and West Harwich, and beloved aunt to Linda, Gregory, and Roberta Tutunjian of Milton. Marion is also survived by extended family. Her wit, sense of style, and warmth will be missed.
At Marion’s request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marion’s memory to the Harwich Conservation Trust, PO Box 101, South Harwich, MA 02661.
