Stoughton PD seeks public’s help in search for missing woman
By Canton CitizenStoughton Police Chief Donna McNamara and the Stoughton Police Department are asking for the public’s help in the ongoing search for a woman who was reported missing by her family on Monday, June 26.
Emma Tetewsky, age 31, who may also go by the name Fraidl Emmet, was last seen by her family on Sunday evening, June 25, at her residence in Stoughton. Residents last saw Tetewsky on Monday evening in the Lakewood Drive area near Pinewood Pond, also known as Harrison’s Pond.
Tetewsky is approximately 5’3” tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds. She may be wearing a light-colored, possibly blue, long-sleeved shirt, cropped leggings and Birkenstock-style sandals. She is known to have a history of mental health challenges.
Tetewksy is known to frequent Pinewood Pond and Massapoag Lake in Sharon. A possible sighting occurred Wednesday afternoon near the Massapoag Trail by Ames Street in Sharon. Tetewsky is known to pray in the woods.
First responders believe that Tetewsky remains in the area because she did not have access to a vehicle or her cell phone. Residents in Stoughton, Sharon, Canton and Easton are asked to check their properties, including garages, outbuildings and sheds, under canoes or kayaks, or in any outdoor equipment where someone may seek shelter. Residents and businesses in those areas are also asked to check footage from any cameras they may have for any sightings of Tetewsky between June 25 and today.
Stoughton Police is grateful to the several public safety assets who have assisted in their search efforts, including the State Police Air Wing, K-9s, drones and boats from Metro-LEC, the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Department, the Stoughton Fire Department and the Quincy Police Department.
The Stoughton Police Department is thankful to residents who have passed along any information about Tetewsky and her possible location.
Anyone who believes they may have seen Tetewsky or has information about her whereabouts is asked to keep an eye on her and immediately call 911.
