Canton Writes 2023: The Fire Whispered

The Fire Whispered

My flames dance elegantly in the dark

Burning greedily with a spark,

Or welcoming with a warm embrace

I help, I Harm

I am hope, I am despair

My soul burns in every heart,

Yet smoke fills the dry air

Hiding who I truly am
