Crisis in confidence highlights need for independent group
By GuestDear Editor:
Each response and action so far has only made it more clear how big the divide is between the insiders’ perceptions of and the reality of the crisis in confidence plaguing the town’s leaders. It strikes me that there isn’t an obvious reason why an independent group of residents should not form and act as an impartial body to help figure out a path forward from this crisis.
When there is a path forward, they or a new independent group needs to serve as a bridge between residents and town counsel. The group would hold regular meetings with the firm, and when the need arises participate in vetting succeeding firms.
