Revere Heritage Site to host inaugural gala fundraiser
By Canton CitizenRevere & Son Heritage Trust Seeking Gala Sponsors
The Revere & Son Heritage Trust is pleased to announce it will be hosting an inaugural Masquerade Gala to raise funds to support the Paul Revere Heritage Site and Paul Revere Museum of Discovery and Innovation.
The Masquerade Gala will take place on Saturday, November 4, from 6-10 p.m. at Brookmeadow Country Club, located at 100 Everendon Road. Attendees should note that this event is a Masquerade Gala, not a costume event. Masks will add some fun for those who want to participate; however, they’re entirely optional.
The evening will feature a sit-down dinner with the choice of baked stuffed chicken or baked scrod. DJ Gary Titus will provide entertainment. Several raffles and a silent auction will take place. There will also be a mask contest and much more for all who attend.
Those interested in attending must purchase a ticket by Friday, October 13. Tickets are $125 each and can be purchased at tinyurl.com/prhs-gala.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Paul Revere Heritage Site, a nine-acre green in Canton, and the future Paul Revere Museum of Discovery and Innovation, which plans to open in 2025.
At the gala, the raffle winner of a seven-night stay at Aruba’s La Cabana Resort from December 16-23 will be announced. The lucky winner will stay in a studio that sleeps four. A breakfast for one person and a $100 gift certificate are included. Airfare is not included.
Those interested in buying raffle tickets can order them at tinyurl.com/prhs-raffle. Tickets are $15 each, or eight tickets for $100.
The drawing will be held at the gala, but attendance is not required to win.
“Our inaugural gala is a community event that is open to all to attend,” said Stephen Schottenfeld, board member of the Revere & Son Heritage Trust. “We hope that our community members join us at the gala and enjoy an evening of fun all while supporting a great cause — the Paul Revere Heritage Site and the future Paul Revere Museum of Discovery and Innovation. There are several ways to support the gala and we invite everyone to get involved.”
“The Paul Revere Heritage Site has already become the de facto town green and gathering place for the community due to its many programs and activities inside the Copper Rolling Mill, the Revere Barn, and the beautifully landscaped open space,” added Schottenfeld. “We hope the community will continue to value and support this unique community asset.”
