Glennon, Catherine E.
By Canton CitizenCatherine “Kay” E. Glennon passed away on December 21, 2023.
Kay survived by her daughter, Cathy Moynihan, of Canton, and her brother Robert Brennan of Florida. She is predeceased by her son Brian C. Moynihan, John T. Moynihan, and John I. Murphy. Kay is also predeceased by her parents, John H. and Marie J. Brennan. She is also predeceased by her sisters Mary Connolly and Helen Tracy and her brothers Albert and Walter Brennan. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and friends. In her early teens to help support the family, Kay worked at several jobs, including working as a Rosie Riveter during the war.
Catherine worked for Hersey Meter Co. before retiring to travel throughout the United States, Canada, Africa, Ireland, and Scotland. In between she took many cruises, visiting all the islands.
Kay was a lifetime member of the Gold Star Wives, American Legion Auxiliary, DAV Auxiliary, and VFW Auxiliary.
Her nephew Tim Tracey and his wife, Kate, are very devoted to their aunt Kay.
Before passing Catherine enjoyed a small 99th birthday party with family members.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, December 27, in St. Oscar Romero Parish in Canton. Burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Dockray and Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
