Anthony “Tony” Palladino Sr., a devoted family man and skilled craftsman, passed away peacefully at his home in Canton, surrounded by his loving family. Born in the town of Montemiletto, Avellino, Italy, Tony’s warm spirit and zest for life were apparent in his love for his family and his work.

Tony was the beloved husband of Elizabeth “Betsy” (Small) Palladino, developing a bond that was cherished and nurtured over 32 years of a loving marriage. He was a proud and loving father to his son Anthony Palladino Jr. and his fiancée, Katherine Brind, of Mansfield. His role as a brother was held dear to his heart, shared with Millio Palladino and his wife, Kimberly, of Salem, NH, and their two sons, Michael (Jennifer) Palladino and Mark (Beck) Palladino. He fondly remembered his late brother Joseph Palladino with love and reverence. He was the cherished son of the late Giuseppe and Maria (Minichiello) Palladino.

Raised in East Boston, Tony was a testament to the value of hard work and determination. He graduated from East Boston High School, attended Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology, and became a certified oil burner technician at the Peterson School.

For many years, Tony worked as an oil burner technician at Lamparelli Oil in Canton. His work ethic and relentless drive made him a respected figure in the workplace, where he was not only an employee but also a friend to many. His passion for his work was evident in the meticulous care he took with every task, ensuring warmth and comfort for countless homes.

Tony’s love for his family was unparalleled, a central theme in his life that guided his every action. He was known to be extremely handy, a trait that served him well both professionally and at home. There was no challenge too great for him. His ingenuity and selflessness were sources of pride and admiration for those who knew him.

His interests outside of work reflected his love for life. Tony found joy in deep-sea fishing with his son, Anthony, and friend, Richard Lipinski. He also took great pleasure in attending and supporting Anthony at all of his athletic events.

The words that best describe Tony are loving, passionate, and driven. Tony Palladino’s legacy is one of devotion, integrity, and a life well-lived.

Gone too soon, he leaves behind a family that will forever cherish his memory and a world that was undoubtedly better for his presence.

Tony’s life story is one of unwavering love, tireless work, and a commitment to the people and things he held dear. His impact will continue to be felt, and his memory will be treasured in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 10, at 10 a.m. in St. Oscar Romero Church in Canton, followed by burial at Canton Corner Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Saturday morning prior to the Mass from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Boston Medical Center, One Boston Medical Center Pl., Boston, MA 02118; Spaulding Rehabilitation Center, 300 1st Ave., Charlestown, MA 02129; or to Good Shepherd Hospice, 160 Wells Ave., Newton, MA 02459.
