ICC announces St. Patrick’s Day lineup of events

The Irish Cultural Centre of Greater Boston, located at 200 New Boston Drive in Canton, is pleased to announce an exciting lineup of events taking place at the ICC in the week leading up to St. Patrick’s Day. From lively traditional music sessions and concerts to family-friendly events and everything in between, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the ICC this St. Patrick’s Day!
Located off Route 138, the Irish Cultural Centre’s 46-acre campus is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Irish culture and heritage through music, dance, arts, history, language, sports, festivals, and other cultural events and activities. Open year-round to the public, the ICC welcomes both members and guests to appreciate the customs of Ireland through authentic food and drink, traditional Irish music, song and dance, sporting events, educational classes and more.
With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner, ICC Executive Director Jerry McDermott invites members and guests to experience the warmth of Irish hospitality and enjoy the richness of Irish culture. “Come, be a part of the festivities, and create lasting memories with your family, friends and community,” said McDermott.
Upcoming St. Patrick’s Day events taking place at the ICC include:
Irish St. Patrick’s Day with Green Road: Friday, March 8. Celebrate the close connection between Ireland and America with Green Road, a five-piece ballad and folk band from County Wexford that infuses traditional Irish music with tones of Bluegrass and Americana. Tickets are $35 for ICC members, $40 for non-members, and $10 for children 18 and under.
St. Patrick’s Week Céilí with CCÉ: Saturday, March 9. Join us for a St. Patrick’s Day Céilí with music by the wonderful Reynolds-Hanafin-Cooley branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (CCÉ). Admission is $15 and includes tea and coffee.
Trevor Sexton & Ger O’Donnell: Saturday, March 9. Enjoy two vocal powerhouses whose close harmonies and instrumental styles complement each other beautifully. With influences spanning Bob Dylan, Bob Marley and Pete Seeger, their mix of traditional and original material interspersed with sprinklings of witty banter has transfixed audiences throughout the country. Tickets are $30 per person for general admission or $40 for a VIP meet-and-greet.
Breaking Trad – David Doocey, Donal Murphy & Mike Galvin: Sunday, March 10. Come join us for an incredible live concert featuring the talented trio of David Doocey, Donal Murphy, and Mike Galvin! Get ready to be blown away by their mesmerizing performances and energetic tunes. Between them, they have toured extensively around the world, performing at major festivals and music venues with some of the biggest names in several different music genres, including Four Men and a Dog, De Dannan, Michael Flatley, Sean Keane, Tim O’Brien, Alison Krauss, Gráda and many more. Admission is $25 per person.
Boston St. Patrick’s Day Celebration: Tuesday, March 12. Join the Irish Cultural Centre for an evening of Irish music and dance as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and present Deirdre and Bob Leger with the annual ‘Gradam Dóchais’ for their outstanding contributions and philanthropic work with the Boston and New England Rose of Tralee over the past 38 years. Tickets are $35 for young professionals and $75 for general admission. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
Family St. Patrick’s Day Celebration: Saturday, March 16. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with your loved ones at our annual Family St. Patrick’s Day celebration for all! Get ready for a day filled with fun activities for the whole family. From traditional Irish music and Irish step dance performances to face painting and games, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Don’t forget to wear your best green outfit and embrace the festive spirit! Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children with kids under 3 admitted free.
Pop-up Gaeltacht at the ICC Pub: Saturday, March 16. Join us for a lively evening of Irish language and culture at the ICC Pub. Whether you’re a fluent speaker or just starting to learn, this event welcomes everyone. Grab a pint, mingle with fellow Irish language enthusiasts, and practice your conversational skills. This event is free and open to the public.
St. Patrick’s Day at the ICC: Sunday, March 17. Enjoy live Irish music, Irish food, Irish beers, and Irish dancing all day long at the ICC! Corned beef and cabbage will be served all day long! Limited pub menu also available. Admission is $20 per person and includes all-day access on St. Patrick’s Day to live music, Irish dancing performances and the ICC Pub. Re-entry with wristband is allowed for those wishing to return later in the day.
