“We are extremely proud of our graduates,” Zini told the assembled crowd. “This class entered high school in the fall of 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, and has thrived despite the challenges they faced.”

The ceremony included a welcome address from Kevin Connolly, chair of the Blue Hills District School Committee; a valedictory address from Class of 2024 valedictorian Khylee Hollins-Greene of Avon; presentation of the class gift by Class Treasurer Jaiana Postell of Randolph; a farewell address from Class President Arianis Gonzalez of Canton; and remarks from Superintendent Rossetti and Principal Zini.

Class Secretary DeAna James of Randolph led the graduates in the recitation of the pledge of allegiance, and diplomas were presented by Rossetti, Zini and Connolly.

Hollins-Green, a graduate of the Health Assisting shop, urged her fellow classmates to “remember to enjoy the good days as they come” and to “cherish the little moments,” while Gonzalez, a Cosmetology student, reminded the Class of 2024, “We can be fearless and pursue our dreams.”

Superintendent Rossetti encouraged the graduates to “cherish the relationships you have built during your time here” and to be “honest, ethical, and transparent in your actions.”

In addition to Gonzalez, this year’s class of Blue Hills graduates included 13 other residents of Canton: Betsaida Benjamin (Health Assisting), Peyton Bosworth (Drafting/CAD), Samantha Cohen (Culinary Arts), Kaylen DaSilva (Culinary Arts), John Gabriel DeOliveira (Computer Information Systems), Aiden Elia (Graphic Communications), Colin Fennessey (Electrical), Gavin Martelli IV (Automotive), Lucas Labollita (HVAC/R), Austin Maguire (Drafting/CAD), Jae’lah Martin (Culinary Arts), Dylan Roach (Metal Fab. & Joining Technologies) and Anthony Soares (Electronics).
