Bank of Canton earns 6th Corporate Citizenship Award
By Canton CitizenBank of Canton will be honored for the sixth consecutive year at the Boston Business Journal’s annual Corporate Citizenship Awards, scheduled to take place on September 5 at the Seaport Hotel. The event will recognize the state’s top 96 charitable companies that each gave $100,000 or more to Massachusetts-based charities in 2023.
“We share this distinction with all of the families, individuals, and businesses who bank with us,” said Stephen P. Costello, president and CEO of Bank of Canton. “The financial support we provide to charities and nonprofits in our communities is made possible by our customers’ decision to bank with us, and for that, we are always grateful.”
Carolyn Jones, market president and publisher of the Boston Business Journal, described the millions donated by this year’s honorees as a “true example of the business community coming together to help those in need.”
“We are proud to celebrate these organizations who give both money and time to make Boston a stronger and better place for all,” said Jones.
Since 2005, Bank of Canton has given more than $2.91 million to local charities and nonprofit organizations through donations and sponsorships. The bank received a Greater Boston region Banking Choice award in 2019 for its “Community Contribution” ranking in the independent Banking Benchmarks survey.
