PRHS prepping for Region-Wide Yard Sale
By Canton CitizenDeadline to reserve sellers’ space is Aug. 16
The Revere & Son Heritage Trust is excited to host a free, region-wide yard sale in August, and registration for sellers is currently ongoing.
The yard sale will take place on Saturday, August 24, from 1-4 p.m. at the Paul Revere Heritage Site at 2 Rolling Mill Way in Canton. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be postponed to Sunday, August 25, from 1-4 p.m.
Sponsored by the Junk Removers of Canton, the yard sale is open to residents of all towns. For a $30 donation to the Revere Heritage Site, sellers will be assigned a 10-by-10-foot space to sell pre-owned items in the park. To reserve a space, register online at tinyurl.com/PRHSYardSale2024 by Friday, August 16.
The historic yellow barn, which is the future home of the Paul Revere Museum of Discovery and Innovation (MoDI), will also be open during the yard sale, and visitors are welcome to explore the expansive new exhibit, titled Copper, which will be open throughout the day (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) thanks to a generous grant from the Highland Street Foundation’s “August Adventures” program. The exhibit spans all three floors of the barn and includes a wide variety of copper artifacts and many of the works of nationally renowned coppersmith T. Michael Thomas.
Free parking for the event is available at the Canton Center MBTA station and there is limited street parking available. On-site parking is available for those with mobility issues and dine-in guests of Northern Spy restaurant.
