Canton High Drama Club to present ‘Puffs’

By

Members of the Canton High School Drama Club rehearse a scene from ‘Puffs.’

For seven years, a certain boy wizard went to a certain wizard school and conquered wizard evil. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs — who just happened to be there too. This comic romp is a tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world.

Presented by the Canton High School Drama Club, Puffs will be performed on Friday and Saturday, November 15 and 16, at 7 p.m. in the CHS auditorium.

“This clever and inventive play, which never goes more than a minute without a laugh, is told from the perspective of three potential heroes just trying to make it through a magic school that proves to be very dangerous for children,” said CHS drama director Katherine Brobst.

Alongside them are the Puffs, a group of well-meaning, loyal outsiders with a thing for badgers who are so lovable and relatable, you’ll leave the theater wishing they were in the stories all along.

“Their hilariously heartfelt and epic journey takes the beloved story to new places and reimagines what it truly means to be a hero,” Brobst said.

The show runs for about two hours with a 10-minute intermission. It is rated PG and should be great fun for all ages!

Tickets are available at cantonhsdrama.ludus.com (save money and choose your seats) or at the door.
